and click on the arrow.
It is okay to enter just their first or last name, and it is also okay to only

Genealogy Links - General genealogy links and links of special interest to Wilds, Daggetts,
Swede-Finns and other branches of the family
Daggetts - Dorothy "Billie" Daggett Wild (1900-1964), wife of Edward George "Ted" Wild (1892-1980),
could trace her ancestry to John Doggett (1602-1673), an early Massachusetts settler. Read about the Doggetts and Daggetts in her ancestry, and how they made their way from England to Martha's Vineyard to Maine to Minnesota. The last of them, her father William Smith Daggett, has a particularly interesting story. He was a United States deputy marshal and a central figure in the Minneapolis/St. Paul census war of 1890.
Michael Ryder (1828-1877) - Dorothy Daggett Wild's maternal grandfather Michael Ryder was an Irish immigrant, laborer and erstwhile soldier.
In the 1860's and 70's, he lived in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada with his wife Rose and family.
During that time, Michael appeared in the local newspapers dozens of times - and Rose appeared occasionally as well.
Those newspaper articles, together with other family history about Michael Ryder, tell an interesting story of a feisty, charismatic, imperfect man.
I am
Janice Mattson Gallant, great great granddaughter of
Casimir Wild. This website is based on genealogy work done some years ago by
my mother,
Joyce Mattson nee Wild. Without her efforts then, this
site would not be here today. Another invaluable resource has been the wonderful
book "A Family Called Wild", edited by
Dr. Jim Wild in 1989.
Please feel free to contact me with comments, corrections, additions, questions, or just to say hello to a distant cousin.
My email address is stitcher@gmail.com. And ask me to send you a login for the site. There is much to enjoy here
without a login, but a login will allow you to view even more information. I would especially love to hear from you if
you have old family photos, letters, obituaries, newspaper clippings, or other information -- including new additions
to the family tree.
I hope that you enjoy your visit.
